Covid-19 Information and F.A.Q

We've listened to many of our customer's concerns over the last months (our response time has typically been within the hour), so we know which will be top of the 'wish' list when considering booking holiday Villas in the future.

We know the time and effort involved in choosing your ideal holiday accommodation and the anticipation once it's booked. The major concern has been that the holiday is lost.  We've usually been able to alleviate that disappointment by moving the holiday dates, sometimes to later this year and often to next year. So, we are happy to give the assurance that if you book a holiday Villa in 2020 and are unable to travel because of a Covid-19 Issue we will liaise between you and the Villa owner to find a solution to suit both parties.

1. Once the balance of your booking has been settled in full, we will liaise with the owner to move your booking to a preferred date without incurring a price increase (with exception of different seasonal prices).

2. If you aren't yet ready to commit to new dates, we will offer you Freelance credit to the value of the payment made. This Freelance credit will be transferable to most villas, so if your party size is likely to change in the future you can change to a more appropriate Villa.

3.  A Freelance Team member will respond, usually within an hour, to assist you in finding  suitable alternative accommodation if necessary, or just to answer any questions.

4.  When you are overseas you will have the reassurance that. should you require assistance, it is never more than a phone call, message or email away.

Frequently asked questions:

I've had a Final Balance Reminder should I pay it?
FCO Advice has been changed to allow travel to all of our destinations. We are expecting your holiday to go ahead now, so your balance should now be paid on the date due.

What if the FCO change their advice and we can't travel?
We will negotiate moving your booking to a later date.

What if my flights have been cancelled?
If your flights are cancelled then it will usually be possible to find an alternative. Should this prove impossible, we will liaise with the villa owner to move to a later date.

Why should I pay the balance of my holiday now, if I'm moving it to next year?
We will be moving an existing booking with the appropriate balance due date to a later date with the same conditions ie. with no price increase (with exception of different seasonal prices). The Villa owner will have  assurance that you do intend to take up the booking.

I have been offered a Freelance credit- how can I use this?
The Freelance credit will be valid for 18 months. You will be able to use it towards the cost of booking most of our Villas. It will be subject to the booking conditions applicable to the original booking.

I would like my money refunded rather than moving my booking.
Freelance Holidays acts as a named agent for the owner of villas and on receipt of payments these are sent to the property owner to confirm the booking, hence we no longer have the funds. We have worked with most of our owners for many years and the majority are very understanding and flexible with offering alternative dates for your booking, or a Freelance credit to the value of your payments made.

Can we claim on our Travel Insurance if we cancel.
This will depend on the 'small print' of the Insurance Policy you took out. Most policies taken out before March 14 2020 will include cover for travel disruption or epidemics but you need to check with your provider. You would only be able to claim if the FCO advice changes to against all but essential travel again.

What if I just don't feel I want to travel this year.
If travel is deemed safe by the FCO then our booking conditions will still apply.

Will I still be able to enjoy my holiday, without the fear of Covid - 19A
Villa holiday is absolutely the best choice for a safe change of scene. All Villas in Greek Islands Programme, our main destination. will be certified under the Greek 'Health First' scheme and all the villas in our destinations  are following the protocols of the respective governments in terms of the required safety measures. You will be the only people to go inside your Villa from the moment you arrive until the end of your stay. You will find restaurants and tavernas in all our destinations will  be happy to provide take away meals if you would prefer to have your meal by your own pool. You can relax knowing that you have a local contact
