Is it true, can we arrive any day we wish?

Yes you can arrive and depart any day. We are proud to be one of the few flexible Villa Rental companies and so, if it's available you can book your dates, and make your stay for any duration. this can save you money on flights as mid week can be a lot cheaper, all we ask is that you book for a minimum of 5 nights (unless its a reduced "gap days" period ).

Can we hold a property whilst we book flights?

Yes you can, with no obligation to book and no charge, place a property on a "24Hr hold" whilst you book flights/ check dates with your boss/ book the kennels.

Are bed linen, towels, electricity etc included in the price?

Yes,. All bed linen, bath and hand towels are included in the price, beds will be made up for your arrival. Any Extra folding beds, where requested will not be made up but linen will be provided. All gas and electricity & water costs are included in the booking price.

Is Housekeeping Included in the price?

Yes, Our price always always includes the preparation and final clean of your property, please see individual property descriptions for details of extra maid service that may be provided.

Is Pool Maintenance/Gardening included in the price?

Yes, where applicable, your pool will be monitored and cleaned when necessary and all the gardening taken care of (but if you feel the need to deadhead the rose's, please feel free)

Can you provide a travel cot and highchair?

Yes, in some of our properties cots & highchairs can be added to your booking free of charge, this will be clearly stated in the individual property's description. Elsewhere, Cots & high chair are available to hire for the duration of your stay at the approx. daily rates: Travel Cot: £3.75, High Chair: £2.90.

What time can we arrive and when must we depart by?

Arrival time is after 16.00 and you must depart by 10.00am to allow for cleaning and preparation. If you arrive earlier your accommodation may be ready for you, but we can not guarantee, it is usually possible to deposit your luggage somewhere out of the way. It may be possible sometimes to extend your stay to later, but this depends on new arrivals, maid scheduling and any extra costs involved, please ask locally 48 hours before your departure for more details.

How much is the booking deposit?

30% of the total cost, If a booking is made eight weeks or more before check in it must be accompanied by a deposit of of the total. If a booking is made less than eight weeks before check in, it must be paid for in full, at the time of booking.

When is the final balance due?

8 weeks before your check in date.

How do I get the directions / keys for the property?

Directions and key information will be available to download in 'My Bookings'. Once you have completed your booking. This is also where you will find your confirmation invoice, maps, local 24/7 contact details and useful Know before you Go information. Don't forget to print this information to take with you when you travel.

Do we have to give cash deposits locally for breakages / damage?

No, to avoid the need to take a local breakages cash deposit nearly all of our properties have a non-refundable charge of £20/25€ per booking instead, known as Accidental Damage Waiver (ADW) will be added to your invoice.

How can I pay?

By BACS, Cheque or Debit card (No charge) or by Credit card (+ 2% bank charge)

Can I pre-order a Grocery pack when booking?

Yes, in most of our properties you can add a substantial "Standard grocery pack" (see example photo). Particularly useful if you are arriving late at night in your accommodation. Note that it needs to be ordered a min of two days before your check in date. Some of our properties include an "essentials grocery pack" (basic items see example photo) this will be stated in the individual descriptions. You are welcome to upgrade to a Standard Pack when booking.

How accurate is your website villa info?

We have personally visited every villa and apartment included on our web site (and we have stayed at many too). The descriptions and information contained herein are given in good faith. Should you have any questions concerning particular facilities, or require additional information, please call or email us so that we can ensure your choice of accommodation is right for you, we love to talk holidays.

Can we squeeze in an extra person?

Yes, often an extra single folding/ camp bed can be added at a charge of £10 per bed per day, but please bear in mind this will reduce floor and wardrobe space and may not be possible in some properties

Will it be quiet?

Please bear in mind that rural areas often have noises of their own. Cocks crowing, dogs barking, donkeys braying and even church bells ringing are all quite common and can start early in the morning and may continue late into the evening. In the villages and rural areas you will not generally be troubled by the noise of discos, tavernas or excessive passing traffic. If you are concerned about noise levels at any of our properties please do mention this at the time of booking and we will be happy to give you our considered opinion. Do however bear in mind that life moves on and neighbours can acquire domestic animals, or even children without our knowledge. For light sleepers, earplugs are a good idea or even a glass of wine before retiring.

Can you provide fans for the bedrooms?

Yes, we can provide portable fans In all our properties without air-conditioning for no extra charge.

Will there be WiFi in my Villa?

Many our villas now count internet access or WiFi amongst their facilities, this is provided free of charge, please check individual Villa descriptions.

NB: WiFi /Internet connection speed/service is not the responsibility of Freelance Holidays or Villa owners. This is provided free of charge and therefore we accept no responsibility for any shortfalls in this free service.

Will there be local assistance whilst on holiday?

Yes, We understand that your holiday is a precious time that you have taken to either explore your new surroundings or just 'chill out'. We will leave you alone to do just that from the first day, with no disturbances. However, our local agent agent and occasionally the Villa owners themselves, are available, should you require their help or assistance. In each accommodation you will find a Freelance Holidays Information Folder which has been put together over many years. You will also be given a telephone number, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to telephone in an emergency.

What bonding do you offer?

In accordance with "The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992" all passengers booking package holidays with Freelance Holidays Ltd. are fully protected for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all monies paid to us, including repatriation if required, arising from cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Freelance Holidays Ltd.

There is no requirement for Financial Protection of day trips, and none is provided. This insurance is only valid for packages booked that DO NOT include flights.

Consumer aware: Your booking is insured by IPP Ltd and its panel of insurers. - This insurance is only valid for passengers who book and pay directly with/to Freelance Holidays Ltd. If you have booked and/ or paid direct to a Travel Agent for a holiday with Freelance Holidays Ltd. please request proof of how the booking is secured as this will not be covered by IPP Ltd in this instance.
